Hey everyone, it’s Elise Mosca here! I recently sat down for an incredible conversation on The Creative Corner podcast, and I’m still buzzing from the energy in that cozy, golden-rose-draped set. The host pulled me into a real, raw chat about creativity, cameras, dreams, and everything in between. If you missed it, here’s the recap—straight from my heart to your screen.
From Disposable Cameras to the LA Spotlight
Creativity isn’t something I stumbled into—it’s been with me since I was a kid. I grew up in the Midwest, but my heart was always set on the stage. While other kids were opening birthday presents, I was hosting bingo games, calling out “B-5!” like it was my job. I’d dress up for book reports—Jackie Kennedy was a favorite—and rehearse movie lines in my bedroom mirror. My mom’s camera was my first love; she’d snap photos while my sister did cartwheels, and I’d pose, ready for my close-up. Those photo albums are treasures now, and they taught me early: capturing moments matters.
Fast forward to high school, and I was diving into graphic design classes, playing with cameras again. College pushed me toward photo and video, and it clicked—pun intended. I’ve been behind (and in front of) the lens ever since. From The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise to red carpets, magazine covers, and horror films with actual lines (not just extra work!), I’ve lived a creative life I only dreamed of as a little girl in Pennsylvania.
The Creative Corner Set: A Dream Come True
Walking into The Creative Corner felt like stepping into a vision. The set was warm, inviting, and dripping with golden roses—a nod to my Bachelor days that gave me chills. It’s the kind of space where ideas flow and stories unfold. The host and I vibed instantly, finishing each other’s sentences and dreaming up wild sets (a waterfall in the corner, anyone?). We talked about how LA is the mecca for creatives, but you don’t have to be here to start. With cameras in our phones and tools like AI, you can create from anywhere—but sometimes, you’ve got to move to where the dream lives. I did, and I’ve never looked back.
Staying True in a Shiny Industry
Let’s get real: this industry can pull you in a million directions. I’ve turned down roles—big ones—that didn’t align with who I am. Mother-daughter Playboy shoots? Hard pass. Photo shoots that required less clothing than I was comfortable with? Nope. I want my future kids to see my work and feel proud, not embarrassed. On The Bachelor, I stuck to my morals, even when producers pushed for dramatic reactions. It wasn’t always easy, but it made me stronger. Saying “no” to the wrong opportunities opened doors to the right ones.
My dream? Think Oprah-level impact. A network of shows that uplift, inspire, and hand out cars (you get a car!). I want to interview people who turn pain into purpose, who show you how to get up when life knocks you down. My own show, The Elise Mosca Show on YouTube, is a start—real talks, real tools, real motivation. One episode I filmed was pure magic; every guest was perfectly placed, sharing wisdom that still gives me goosebumps. Those are the days that remind me I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
Balancing Act: Love, Life, and the Hustle
LA’s sunny vibes can spiral you into endless parties if you’re not careful. I’m dating, but I’m intentional—one track, not juggling five. I want kids someday, so if someone’s not on that page, it’s a polite “next.” Balance means checking in with yourself hourly—Is this aligning with my goals? I start my days with gratitude and priorities, and I lean on mentors to keep me grounded. Hollywood’s divorce rate doesn’t scare me; I know creatives with rock-solid marriages, and that’s the narrative I want to amplify.
Advice from the Corner: Get Up, Get Out, Get Going
Here’s the truth: excuses won’t get you anywhere. If you’re stuck at home, scrolling, wishing you were creating—stop. Get out of the house. You don’t know who you’ll meet or what door will open. I’ve had shoots I dreaded that led to lifelong friendships. Energy is everything; bring your best, even on tough days, and watch how it shifts the room.
To the dreamers: you don’t need permission. Start small—host a bingo game, grab a camera, post a video. Reflect on what you’ve already achieved, give yourself grace, and keep moving. The world needs your light, not another scandal. And if you’re feeling lost, know you’re not alone. I’m here to help, connect, and cheer you on.
